SHIFT, the region’s leading marketing & distribution company of consumer electronic accessories, hosted #TechFashionDXB16 show – Dubai’s first tech-fashion event on 17th of October, 2016 at The Fridge warehouse in Al Serkal Avenue. The event showcased a curated selection of the latest top mobile accessories and gadgets along with the global launch of iPhone 7 accessories and acted as a platform for retailers, media and bloggers to get a first look at how technology has become fused with fashion in the 21st century.

During the event, the latest mobile wearables were presented with a live fashion demo and segmented into Fashion Technology, Casual Fashion and Sports Fashion. Giving us a glimpse into how important technology has become to everyday life, the live demonstration included things which compliment all styles. Guests were able to interact with the brands and models after the demonstration to test out the gadgets first hand and immerse themselves into the experience areas. Functional mobile accessories unveiled at the event included Olloclip’s iPhone 7 lenses for the passionate mobile photographer, Misfit elegant accessory bracelets which tracks your sleep and movements, H20 smart water bottles which monitor your water intake, Zagg keyboards for convenient typing on the go, Jam Audio wireless speakers and Chipolo wireless item trackers.

Wearable tech fashion brands showcased at the event included Happy Plugs designer earphones, Urbanista lifestyle cordless earbuds, branded stylish cases & sleeves from Adidas, Kate Spade, Ted Baker, Tumi and Belkin.

Set to take place annually, this is the first event of its kind in Dubai and the first event outside traditional trade conferences hosted by SHIFT.
