GCA was lucky enough to spend an evening with Head Sommelier from the One&Only; Resort in Cape Town, Luvo Ntezo, where we learned all about South African wines. We discovered hidden flavors and nodes in each glass while learning how to pair different types with different dishes!
The evening was hosted in the private dining room of Celebrities Restaurant at The Palace, One&Only; Royal Mirage Dubai Resort where guests were welcomed with a glass of sparkling. Luvo shared background about South African grapes and the globally growing wine industry. Guests were then walked through and able to taste the following; NV Methode Cap Classique (Pongracz), Petit Chenin Blanc (Ken Forrester), Pinotage (Fairview), Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot (Vergelegen) and Vin de Constance (Klein Constantia). All were paired with delicious bites prepared by the very talented chefs at One&Only; Royal Mirage.
